Converge ICT, a Philippine fiber broadband provider, has joined the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) as a Platinum Member to support workforce upskilling and AI readiness in the country's IT-BPM sector. The partnership aims to help the nearly two million BPO workers adapt to AI-driven changes by developing skills for more complex roles. Converge CEO Dennis Anthony Uy emphasized the need to level up worker skills and leverage the company's digital infrastructure. IBPAP President Jack Madrid welcomed Converge, citing its role during the pandemic. The IT-BPM sector employed 1.9 million workers and generated $40 billion in export revenues in 2025, over 8% of GDP.
