The launch of eKosha by ToneTag is expected to positively impact the financial services sector in India by enhancing financial inclusion for Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Banks adopting eKosha could see reduced servicing costs, increased cross-selling opportunities, and improved merchant retention, leading to better profitability and market penetration.
ToneTag, a deep-tech company, has launched eKosha, a voice-first business assistant designed to transform merchant counters into intelligent banking touchpoints for India's over 80 million Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The platform, powered by ToneTag's proprietary analog Edge AI technology and Small Action Language Model (SALM), supports UPI, UPI 123Pay, and Central bank digital currency payments. It enables merchants to access banking services, business insights, loan offers, and government schemes through voice commands in their preferred language, even in areas with limited internet connectivity. Kumar Abhishek, Founder and CEO of ToneTag, stated that eKosha redefines the merchant counter as an always-on banking channel, allowing banks to engage with merchants daily, reduce servicing costs by up to 60%, and double cross-selling opportunities. The platform aims to improve financial inclusion and access to banking services for small businesses across India.
