The achievement by Lexar of a one million monthly mSSD production capacity is expected to positively impact the semiconductor and computer hardware industries by accelerating the deployment of edge AI storage solutions. This increased capacity will help meet the growing demand for AI PCs and intelligent terminals, potentially benefiting companies like Lenovo and Asus that are collaborating with Lexar.
Lexar, a leading semiconductor memory enterprise, announced a significant milestone by establishing a stable monthly production and delivery capacity of one million mSSD (Micro SSD) units in June 2026. This achievement, following the rollout of initial samples in October 2025 from its Suzhou manufacturing base, positions Lexar to meet the increasing market demand for high-speed storage solutions in edge AI devices. The company's mSSD solutions, available in PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 versions, utilize System-in-Package (SiP) architecture for enhanced performance, reliability, and efficient large-scale manufacturing. Lexar is collaborating with industry leaders like Lenovo and Asus and plans to further expand its mSSD platform across various AI devices, integrating proprietary technologies like SPU, iSA, and HLCache to advance next-generation intelligent storage.
