The maiden Nigerian Engineering Olympiad (NEO) concluded with four universities winning a total of N110 million in seed funding and additional institutional grants. University of Ibadan received N30 million for 'Aurora Birth', University of Jos N20 million for 'Sentra', and University of Nigeria N10 million for 'Flameless'. Winners also receive mentorship and commercialization support. Funding partners Renaissance Africa Energy Company and Shell plc — Shell Nigeria pledged increased grants for future editions.
