The India — Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, on July 3, 2026, granted Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for capital acquisition proposals worth approximately Rs 52,000 crore. The approvals cover a range of weapon systems for the India — Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, including anti-drone systems, anti-tank missiles, air defence systems, naval mines, shipborne UAVs, and high-altitude pseudo satellites. Apollo Micro Systems is expected to benefit significantly as it is the DRDO-approved manufacturing agency for the Multi Influence Ground Mine (MIGM) and holds manufacturing licenses for several other approved systems. The company's shares rose 5.32% following the announcement. The final contracts are expected to take 12-18 months.
