Havelsan, a Turkish defense electronics firm, has delivered its ADVENT Combat Management System to Romania alongside the CAm.ROMAN corvette, marking the first export of the Turkish-developed naval command-and-control solution to a NATO member state. The system, previously exported to non-NATO countries including Pakistan, Indonesia, Ukraine, Qatar, Oman, Nigeria, Malaysia, and Chile, was adapted from the version used by the Turkish Navy to meet Romanian operational requirements. The delivery also opened export channels for other Turkish defense systems, including the YELKOVAN Electronic Warfare System (developed with Turkey — Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) and the TARGAN 12.7 mm stabilized weapon system (developed with UNIROBOTICS). The export coincides with the NATO summit hosted by Turkey in Ankara on July 6-7, where ADVENT is expected to attract attention.
