India — Tripura is hosting the Destination India — Tripura Business Conclave 2026 on July 9-10 at Hapania International Fair Ground, aiming to attract investment proposals worth Rs 1 lakh crore. Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed confidence in the event's success, with around 500 delegates from India and abroad expected. Key sectors include healthcare, tourism, agriculture, IT, bamboo, agarwood, rubber, and tea. The Tripura Tea Development Corporation plans to sign MoUs worth Rs 726 crore for tea blending units, organic farming, eco-tourism, and a tea museum. Last year's conclave saw MoUs worth Rs 30,000 crore, with Rs 8,000 crore implemented. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is scheduled to attend. Representatives from Bangladesh, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Maldives, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Indonesia have confirmed or expressed interest.
