Nnani Adaobi Marian, a 23-year-old Nigerian medical graduate of Kharkiv National Medical University, died on July 5, 2026, from injuries sustained in a Russian airstrike on Ukraine — Kharkiv's Kholodnohirskyi district on June 29. She was days away from graduation. Her friend Fatima Huseynova was killed instantly. The attack also injured 12 others. Marian had interned at the University of Cambridge and Biruni University.
