The Nigeria, through Minister of Information and National Reorientation Mohammed Idris, urged journalists and social media influencers to deny bandits and terrorists publicity. The call was made at the maiden Arewa Media Summit in Kano, organized by Presidential aide Abdulaziz Abdulaziz. The summit aimed to strengthen dialogue between government, citizens, and the media. Abdulaziz also unveiled the 'Gani Ya Kori' initiative to showcase projects by President Bola Tinubu and northern governors. Nigeria — Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf urged other states to emulate his Special Reporters Initiative. Over 100 APC social media communicators were trained ahead of the summit.
