The Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Environment, conducted a combined Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) site visit for the proposed Dangote Industrial City and Deep Seaport project in Ogun and Ondo states. The project, led by Dangote Group and its President Aliko Dangote, aims to build one of the world's largest deep seaports at Araromi in Nigeria — Ondo State, along with an industrial city. During the three-day assessment tour, government officials, community leaders, and Dangote representatives engaged with host communities in Ode-Omi (Ogun) and Araromi (Ondo). The Director of Assessment at the Federal Ministry of Environment, Rofikat Adebukunola Odetoro, urged inclusive dialogue and support from communities.
