The rebranding solidifies SpaceX's AI ambitions, potentially boosting investor confidence in its AI segment despite current losses. The large AI infrastructure deals with Anthropic and Alphabet Inc. signal strong demand, which could drive future revenue growth.
Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company Xai has officially rebranded to SpaceX — SpaceXAI, completing its integration into SpaceX. The rebrand includes a new logo and an updated username on X. SpaceX acquired Xai in February, bringing Grok and X under one roof. The move follows SpaceX's record-breaking IPO in June, which raised $75 billion at a $1.77 trillion valuation. SpaceX invested $12.7 billion in AI in 2025, more than triple its space and connectivity spending. The AI segment operates at a net loss but is seen as the largest addressable market. SpaceX plans to launch AI compute satellites by 2028 and has secured major partnerships with Anthropic ($1.25B/month) and Alphabet Inc. ($920M/month).
