Premier Energies secures Rs 3,011 crore orders

Premier Energies, an Indian integrated solar manufacturer, secured orders worth Rs 3,011 crore during the April-June quarter of FY2027 for the supply of 1,846 MW of solar cells and modules. The contracts were awarded by a mix of power producers, module manufacturers, EPC companies, and other customers, with deliveries scheduled across FY2027 and FY2028. The company is expanding its manufacturing capacity, having recently increased module capacity from 5.5 GW to 11.1 GW and expecting solar cell capacity to grow from 3.6 GW to 10.6 GW by September 2026. Premier Energies is also investing Rs 6,000 crore to establish 10 GW of ingot and wafer capacity as part of its plan to become an integrated solar company. Managing Director Chiranjeevi attributed the order inflow to the company's investments in technology, scale, and product quality, supported by rising solar demand and the Indian government's Make-in-India and ALMM-2 policies.
