Analysis based on 7 articles · First reported Jul 07, 2026 · Last updated Jul 08, 2026
The acquisition is a small-scale strategic move in the niche business continuity market, unlikely to have broad market impact. It may modestly strengthen Databarracks' competitive position in the managed resilience services sector.
Databarracks, a UK-based business and technology resilience expert, has acquired the assets of Acumen Business Services Ltd, a specialist business continuity consultancy founded by Andy Osborne. The acquisition follows Databarracks' previous purchase of PlanB Consulting in 2024 and is part of the company's strategy to expand its Business Resilience Managed Services. Acumen brings over 100 clients across financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal strengthens Databarracks' unified approach to business and technology resilience, combining Acumen's business continuity expertise with Databarracks' technology resilience and recovery solutions.
