The contract reinforces demand for specialized decommissioning services as North Sea operators retire mature assets. Well-Safe Solutions and its subcontractors benefit from a multi-year revenue stream, while APA Corporation progresses its North Sea exit strategy.
Apache North Sea, a subsidiary of APA Corporation, has appointed Well-Safe Solutions as lead contractor for the decommissioning of the Beryl Field in the UK North Sea. This is the second contract awarded to Well-Safe Solutions this year, following the Forties Field decommissioning. The combined scope covers more than 260 wells, making it one of the largest well decommissioning contracts in the North Sea. Well-Safe Solutions has subcontracted Archer Limited for platform-based drilling services and OVO Energy for topside decommissioning services. Preparatory work is underway, with offshore operations on Beryl Bravo platform wells starting in summer 2026 and subsea decommissioning in 2027. All production is expected to cease by end-2029.
