The deal demonstrates a new risk management tool for energy storage, potentially lowering financing costs and accelerating deployment. It may boost confidence in battery storage investments, benefiting companies like Pulse and insurers like Ariel Green.
Inox Green Energy Services reached financial close on two battery energy storage projects in Plymouth and Dowlais, UK, supported by Technology Performance Insurance (TPI) from Ariel Green. This is the first TPI policy for energy storage in the UK, providing up to 13 years of protection. The coverage helps secure project financing and gives Pulse flexibility to manage assets. The transaction involved Aon as broker and Eversheds Sutherland as legal adviser. Pulse is backed by IMCO.
