On July 8, 2026, Kuwait experienced electricity outages in scattered residential areas after several power transmission lines went out of service. The Kuwait — Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy (Kuwait) restored power to all affected areas by re-feeding from the grid. Separately, Bahrain also faced a limited power outage, which was fully resolved by the Electricity and Water Authority. The causes of the outages are under investigation.
