The investment signals growing investor confidence in the infrastructure behind secondhand fashion, a market valued at over $200 billion. Fleek's AI-driven digitization of sorting and grading could improve efficiency and transparency in the supply chain, potentially benefiting resale platforms like Vinted, Etsy — Depop, and Whatnot.
Fleek, a London-based startup building AI infrastructure for the global secondhand clothing industry, raised $25 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Burda Principal Investments, an early Vinted backer, with participation from EBay, FJ Labs, H14, and existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, HV Capital, and Y Combinator. The funding brings Fleek's total to $45 million. Fleek's platform includes a B2B marketplace and Fleek Sort, a custom vision-language model that identifies, grades, and prices secondhand garments from photos or videos. The AI is used by graders in Pakistan, India, and United Arab Emirates — Dubai, with pilots in the UK, Europe, and US. Fleek connects over 2,000 suppliers with more than 50,000 buyers across 100+ countries and has kept over 12 million garments in circulation. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate development of its AI-native marketplace, expand engineering teams, and grow its global network.
