Akamai partners with WWT on ARMOR AI security

Akamai Technologies announced its selection as a strategic partner for World Wide Technology's AI Readiness Model for Operational Resilience (ARMOR) framework. The collaboration positions Akamai as a foundational security architecture for AI factories built by WWT and accelerated by Nvidia. Akamai's role includes offloading Guardicore Segmentation to Nvidia BlueField DPUs to eliminate the security tax, securing agentic AI and data lakes via API Security, and providing end-to-end defense with Prolexic DDoS mitigation. The ARMOR framework is the industry's first holistic, vendor-agnostic AI security framework covering six domains: governance, risk, and compliance; model security; secure AI operations; infrastructure security; data protection; and secure development lifecycle. Executives from both companies emphasized the importance of proactive security for enterprise AI adoption.
