Bauchi kidnappings kill one, abduct four

In Nigeria — Dass Local Government Area of Nigeria — Bauchi State, Nigeria, suspected kidnappers killed one person and abducted four others in separate attacks over two weeks, according to former lawmaker Maryam Bagel. The incidents occurred in Kagadama and Bagel villages. A pharmacy owner was kidnapped with a ransom demand of N50 million. Another resident, Shahibi, was shot dead when he resisted a second abduction. Three others, including a 10-year-old boy, were abducted in a subsequent attack. The Nigeria — Lagos State Police Command confirmed the attacks and deployed units to rescue victims and apprehend suspects. This follows a similar attack in Nigeria — Ningi Local Government Area where two children were killed.
