Telesat — Telesat LEO ULC, a subsidiary of Telesat Corporation, announced an agreement in principle with Canada's International — Defence Investment Agency to deliver secure Military Ka-band Arctic connectivity to the Canada — Canadian Armed Forces under the Enhanced Satellite Communications Project - Polar (ESCP-P) program. The agreement builds on a Strategic Partnership Agreement from late 2025 involving Telesat, MDA Space, and the International — Defence Investment Agency. Telesat will provide end-to-end network integration services including user terminals, ground infrastructure, training, and support. The definitive contract is expected in the coming weeks, and the agreement does not affect Telesat Lightspeed's global service delivery timeline of Q1 2028.
