Ghana flood fund release controversy

The Minority Caucus in Ghana's Parliament has called for the resignation of Attorney General Dominic Ayine over the release of GH¢350 million from the Contingency Fund for flood relief, alleging constitutional breaches and disregard for pending garnishee proceedings. The funds were approved by Parliament and transferred to a National Disaster Management Committee account at the Ghana — Bank of Ghana, but the Minority claims the Attorney General directed the central bank to release the money despite a court order attaching the fund. The Minority demands accountability, including a special audit by the Auditor General and possible Supreme Court action.
