Credit Fair's established platform and partnerships with major solar players like Tata Power and Adani Enterprises — Adani Solar provide a strong foundation for growth.
BlackSoil, an alternative credit platform, has acquired the solar financing business of Credit Fair, a green energy financing platform focused on rooftop solar loans, for approximately ₹45 crore in a cash slump sale completed on July 1, 2026. The acquisition includes Credit Fair's management team, technology platform, brand, and operating infrastructure. Credit Fair's solar financing business has assets under management of about ₹152.6-160 crore and operates across more than 20 states, having processed over 350,000 loans and disbursed more than ₹1,300 crore since its inception in 2018. The acquisition marks BlackSoil's entry into India's renewable energy financing sector and strengthens its partner-led B2B2C lending ecosystem. BlackSoil plans to scale the platform from financing 80 MW to enabling 1 GW of distributed renewable energy capacity. 72.iB acted as M&A advisor.
