Assent acquires IPOINT

Assent, a global leader in product compliance and supply chain sustainability management, completed its acquisition of IPOINT, a product compliance and sustainability software provider based in Reutlingen, Germany. The acquisition, the first in Assent's history, aims to expand Assent's capabilities beyond supply chain compliance into comprehensive product lifecycle intelligence. By combining Assent's supply chain and product compliance expertise with IPOINT's lifecycle assessment and material intelligence capabilities, the combined company will offer manufacturers and distributors a unified platform to manage product compliance, sustainability, and regulatory obligations from design through end of life. The deal is expected to accelerate Assent's expansion in the U.S. and European automotive markets, leveraging IPOINT's deep expertise in the automotive sector and its base in Europe. Customers of both companies will continue to receive uninterrupted service, and over time, Assent customers will gain access to IPOINT's material product compliance, lifecycle assessment, and product carbon footprint capabilities, while IPOINT customers will gain access to Assent's supply chain compliance solutions and global supplier network.
