B3 launches crypto futures options

The launch strengthens B3's position as a leading regulated crypto derivatives venue in Latin America, potentially increasing trading volumes and attracting institutional investors. It may also intensify competition with other exchanges and contribute to the broader trend of integrating digital assets into traditional finance.
Brazil's B3 stock exchange launched options on bitcoin, ether, and solana futures on July 6, 2026. The contracts settle into underlying futures, not the tokens themselves, and are available for trading from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. local time. Bitcoin futures options are denominated in Brazilian reais, while ether and solana options are in U.S. dollars. All three reference Nasdaq crypto indexes. The launch expands B3's regulated crypto derivatives suite, which already includes futures and bitcoin options, and aims to provide local traders and asset managers with a regulated venue to hedge crypto exposure and trade volatility without using offshore markets.
