The product launch strengthens Vishay's position in the automotive semiconductor market, potentially increasing revenue from EV-related components. However, the impact is incremental and unlikely to significantly move the stock in the near term.
Vishay Intertechnology introduced the VOMHA43A, an automotive 1 MBd high speed optocoupler in a narrow SOP-5 package (3.6 mm width). The AEC-Q102 qualified device offers industry-best minimum CMTI of 40 kV/µS and maximum repetitive peak isolation voltage of 707 Vpeak, targeting EV, HEV, and LSEV applications for communication bus isolation and IPM drivers. Samples and production quantities are available now with six-week lead times.
