Multiple law firms (Glancy Prongay & Murray, The Law Offices of Frank R. Cruz, Law Offices of Howard G. Smith) have announced that investors with losses in Zillow Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: Z, ZG) have until August 10, 2026 to file lead plaintiff motions in a securities fraud class action. The lawsuit alleges that between February 11, 2025 and May 7, 2026, Zillow made false and misleading statements regarding its agreement with Redfin, which was actually an acquisition of Redfin's business, exposing Zillow to heightened antitrust scrutiny. The FTC sued Zillow and Redfin on September 30, 2025, causing Zillow's stock to drop. Subsequent events, including a federal judge rejecting Zillow and Redfin's request to end the FTC lawsuit on May 7, 2026, further damaged the stock. The complaint claims Zillow downplayed its legal exposure and lacked a reasonable basis for positive statements.
