The launch of HAIRO may boost Puncture Robotic's valuation and attract further investment in AI-driven medical aesthetics. However, the event is niche and unlikely to significantly impact broader markets.
At the 14th World Congress for Hair Research (WCHR 2026) in Seoul, South Korea, Puncture Robotic debuted its HAIRO Hair Transplant Robot, China's first NMPA Class III-certified hair transplant robot. HAIRO integrates AI, computer vision, and robotic automation for hair restoration, featuring a 'Single-Hair Skipping' algorithm and sub-surface positioning accuracy of 0.1 mm. The system can process up to 2,400 follicles per hour with a follicular-unit damage rate below 7.5%. Puncture Robotic recently completed a multi-million-dollar Series B financing round led by a globally leading AI technology company and is pursuing FDA clearance and CE certification. A long-hair extraction version is in development.
