STL (Sterlite Technologies) announced a definitive victory in its European patent dispute with Fujikura Ltd. The International — European Patent Office (EPO) Technical Board of Appeal issued a final, binding and non-appealable ruling on 24 June 2026, revoking Fujikura's European Patent EP 3796060 in its entirety. The ruling resolves the UK patent dispute in STL's favor, strengthening STL's position in optical connectivity markets across the UK and Europe. STL's CTO Dr. Badri Gomatam highlighted the affirmation of STL's global IP position and R&D capability.
