Science SA announced on July 10, 2026, the discontinuation of three non-priority clinical studies (masitinib in mast cell activation syndrome, mastocytosis, and progressive multiple sclerosis) to focus on two priority programs: AB8939 for acute myeloid leukemia and masitinib for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The company completed Phase 1 Step 3 of AB8939 in combination with venetoclax and plans to seek authorization for Phase 4 adding azacitidine. The Phase 3 masitinib ALS study, approved in 2025, will be updated and resubmitted to health authorities.
