WIND Group, a Dutch specialist in cable logistics and offshore services, signed a long-term agreement with Smålandshamnar to establish a dedicated cable storage and offshore service yard at the Sweden — Port of Oskarshamn in Sweden. The new hub will expand WIND's presence in the Baltic region, offering services including cable transportation, storage, equipment supply, maintenance, and vessel mobilization through its subsidiary Draftec. The Sweden — Port of Oskarshamn, with its 435-meter quay and 10.3-meter depth, is well-suited for ship-to-ship cable transfers and provides access to the entire Baltic region. Tom Nooij, CEO of WIND, highlighted the integrated service approach, while Niclas Strömqvist, CEO of Smålandshamnar, emphasized the strategic investment for Oskarshamn's role in offshore energy. This partnership aims to create long-term employment and position Oskarshamn as a leading port for offshore energy and project cargo in Northern Europe.
