Users who decline or withdraw consent face deletion of their synced health data and loss of Samsung Electronics — Samsung Cloud syncing. The policy covers sensitive data such as body measurements, sleep, medication, health records, and cycle tracking. The move has sparked backlash from users and privacy advocates, with critics arguing that tying cloud syncing to AI consent undermines genuine choice. Samsung Electronics has not clarified data anonymization or human review practices. The policy affects over 65 million monthly active users on Android and iOS.
