The IFC investments signal continued international confidence in Sri Lanka's economic recovery and attract further foreign capital. The projects support critical sectors—energy security and agribusiness—potentially reducing import dependence and boosting exports.

renewable energy agribusiness

TWC Capital, the corporate finance advisory arm of TWC Holdings, acted as exclusive financial adviser on two transactions totaling up to US$28 million from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, directed at Sri Lanka's renewable energy and agribusiness sectors. The larger transaction involves an IFC commitment of up to US$18 million to support WindForce PLC's development of Sri Lanka's first utility-scale 100MW solar power project, expected to generate 220 GWh of clean electricity annually. The second transaction is a US$10 million IFC financing for New Anthoney s Farms Group (NAF), Sri Lanka's only fully antibiotic-free poultry producer, to expand export capacity, create over 900 jobs, and benefit at least 200 contract farming households. These deals increase the total value of offshore development finance and FDI mobilised by TWC for Sri Lanka over the past 12 months to approximately US$125 million.
