Cadeler secures EUR 247M green loan for Wind Apex

Cadeler A/S has signed a senior secured green term loan facility of EUR 247 million, backed by the Denmark — Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO), to partially finance the construction of its third A-class newbuild offshore wind installation vessel, Wind Apex. The 12-year facility is designated as green financing under Cadeler's Green Finance Framework. The lending syndicate includes HSBC, KfW IPEX-Bank, Rabobank, and DNB Bank ASA, with HSBC acting as coordinator and agent. Wind Apex is expected to be delivered in Q2 2027. Cadeler CEO Mikkel Gleerup and EIFO COO Peter Boeskov expressed confidence in the partnership and the company's growth in offshore wind installation capacity.
