This partnership is unlikely to have a significant immediate impact on financial markets. However, it may strengthen the long-term innovation capabilities of the involved entities, potentially benefiting XtalPi's stock and Dassault Systèmes' position in Asia.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) signed a tripartite strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Paris with Dassault Systèmes and XtalPi — PAIEvo (HK) Limited, a subsidiary of XtalPi, to collaborate on research innovation and talent development. The partnership aims to advance digitalization of smart laboratories, R&D in new materials, proprietary computing capabilities, molecular simulation tools, and new substance discovery. The signing ceremony was held at Dassault Systèmes' Paris headquarters. This marks PolyU's first overseas innovation hub in Europe. The collaboration builds on a long-standing relationship between PolyU and Dassault Systèmes, including the establishment of the Dassault Systèmes-PolyU Center of Excellence in 2025. Dassault Systèmes was also selected as a strategic enterprise by China — Hong Kong's Hong Kong — Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) with PolyU's support.
