Makinde APM 2027 presidential campaign

Nigeria — Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, running as the presidential candidate of the Allied People's Movement (APM) for Nigeria's 2027 general election, has intensified his campaign. At the APM national convention in Bauchi, Makinde called for opposition unity and a credible alternative to the ruling Nigeria — All Progressives Congress (APC). The APM endorsed Makinde, inaugurated Nigeria — Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed as national leader, and named Femi Adeniran as presidential campaign coordinator in Oyo. The party has uploaded its candidates' details to the Nigeria — Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal and claims growing grassroots support. The APC dismissed Makinde's electoral threat, asserting President Bola Tinubu's reforms would secure his re-election.
