India — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the establishment of the India — Haryana State Research Fund with an allocation of Rs 20 crore to support 90 research projects from 27 higher education institutions. The initiative is part of the state's Vision 2047 roadmap to transform higher education into an innovation-driven system. Additional measures include a Rs 10 crore Higher Education Quality and Research Excellence Fund, establishment of Model Sanskriti Colleges and autonomous AI Digital Colleges, a single-window digital platform for internships and placements, and reimbursement of patent registration fees up to Rs 50,000. The NEEV digital portal will enable real-time monitoring of research output and student outcomes. Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda stated the goal is to make India — Haryana a leading center for higher education and innovation by 2047.
