This initiative is unlikely to have a significant direct impact on Dharampal Satyapal Group's financial performance as it is a small-scale CSR program. However, it may enhance the company's brand reputation and ESG profile, potentially attracting socially conscious investors.
Dharampal Satyapal Group, an Indian FMCG conglomerate, launched the 'Pallu Protection Equipment' awareness campaign in seven villages of Baghpat district, India — Uttar Pradesh, to protect women farmers from pesticide exposure. The initiative introduces a washable nano-fibre filter that can be stitched into saree pallus or dupattas, providing a culturally relevant protective barrier. The campaign includes free distribution of filters through local outlets, mobile awareness vans, puppet shows, street plays, and free health check-up camps offering blood pressure and blood sugar screenings. The program is part of Dharampal Satyapal Group's broader FarmHER programme supporting women farmers. A version for male farmers integrated into gamchas has also been developed.
