A securities fraud class action lawsuit has been filed against Zillow Group, Inc. and certain senior executives by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld LLP LLP on behalf of investors. The lawsuit alleges that Zillow made false and misleading statements regarding its agreement with Redfin Corporation, which the FTC claims was an anticompetitive arrangement where Zillow paid Redfin $100 million to exit the multifamily rental listings market. The FTC filed an antitrust complaint on September 30, 2025. Zillow's stock dropped significantly on multiple dates: 4.33-4.5% on the FTC complaint, 16.54-17.13% on February 10, 2026 after the CFO disclosed increased legal expenses, and 1.9-1.76% on May 7, 2026 after a federal judge rejected Zillow and Redfin's motion to dismiss the FTC lawsuit. The class action seeks to recover losses for investors who purchased Zillow Class C and Class A common stock. The lead plaintiff deadline is August 10, 2026.
