Principle Power has been awarded the operations and maintenance (O&M) support contract for the 30 MW Éoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion (EFGL) floating offshore wind project in the French Mediterranean, operated by Ocean Winds in partnership with France — Banque des Territoires. The contract covers three WindFloat foundations hosting Vestas V164-10 MW turbines. Principle Power will provide integrated O&M services including inspection, maintenance, repair, remote monitoring, data analytics, and engineering support, leveraging its Asset Hub application. Day-to-day operations will be managed from Port-La Nouvelle in southern France. Ocean Winds employs six local workers for platform maintenance, while Vestas handles turbine inspection and maintenance. Principle Power has expanded its local O&M team, strengthening its presence in France, which represents nearly 30% of its global workforce. The contract builds on a long-standing relationship between Ocean Winds and Principle Power, which began over 15 years ago with the WindFloat Atlantic project. The EFGL contract marks the latest deployment of WindFloat technology in France and supports the transition of floating wind toward commercial scale in France and other international markets such as the United Kingdom and South Korea.
