The Ghana — Ghana GoldBod (GoldBod) presented GH¢12.65 million to the Ghana — Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) as a reward for its role in the seizure of 17 gold bars from illegal gold traders in 2025. The amount represents 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the confiscated gold under GoldBod's reward policy. The reward was distributed with 10% to the informant, 20% to NACOC officers, and 20% to NACOC as an institution. GoldBod CEO Sammy Gyamfi announced the payment, and NACOC Director-General Maxwell Obuba Mantey received the cheque, reaffirming continued collaboration against illegal gold trading.
