One Nation One Election proposal progress

The Joint Committee of Parliament on the 'One Nation One Election' proposal, chaired by P. P. Chaudhary, concluded three-day consultations with academia in Lucknow. The India — Election Commission of India submitted that it would be ready to conduct simultaneous India — Lok Sabha and assembly elections if given six months' notice. Chaudhary stated that if Parliament passes the law in 2028, simultaneous elections could be held from 2029.
