The funding underscores growing investor interest in India's beauty and personal care manufacturing ecosystem. It may boost valuations for similar contract manufacturers and attract further capital into the sector.
Naturis Cosmetics, an Indian contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) in the beauty and personal care sector, raised ₹100 crore in its first external funding round. The investment was led by Sharrp Ventures, with participation from Mirabilis Investment Trust (the family office of Infosys co-founder Dinesh Goel), Anicut Capital, Niveshaay, and D2C sector investors including Suyash Saraf and Yogesh Kadam. The company will use the capital to expand its manufacturing footprint, including a new 225,000 sq ft facility in Vapi, an experience centre in the NCR, and an R&D hub in Mumbai. It also plans to diversify into men's grooming, body care, color cosmetics, fragrances, and export markets. Naturis has recorded revenue growth of over 50% CAGR over the last four years and partners with over 50 BPC and D2C brands, including Nykaa, Purplle, Pilgrimage, Katrina Kaif, and Colorbar, as well as pharmaceutical firms like Glenmark and Abbott Laboratories. Following the funding, Sagar Kandhari of Ambassador Capital Partners joined the board.
