On July 16, 2026, Clarivate Plc (NYSE: CLVT) announced its support for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in launching an AI-assisted image search within the public trademark search system, TM Search. The new capability allows users to upload and compare images against the U.S. trademark register to identify existing similar marks. The USPTO selected and awarded a contract to Clarivate for this technology. The functionality uses advanced image recognition and artificial intelligence to improve search efficiency and result quality.
