The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) updated its global lists of high-risk and monitored jurisdictions following its plenary meeting held from June 17-19, 2026. Algeria and Namibia were removed from the increased monitoring list, while Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iraq were added. Myanmar remains on the high-risk call for action list, unchanged since October 2022. The FATF also reaffirmed its February 2020 statements on North Korea and Iran. The State Bank of India clarified that enhanced due diligence measures should not disrupt humanitarian assistance, legitimate non-profit activity, remittances, or regular commercial transactions. The updated list of jurisdictions under increased monitoring includes 22 countries and territories.
