Kashmiri diaspora protests in Bradford

On July 15, 2026, members of the Kashmiri diaspora staged an anti-Pakistan protest outside the Pakistani Consulate in Bradford, United Kingdom, organized by the Pakistan — Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). Protesters alleged human rights violations by Pakistani security forces in Azad Kashmir (PoJK), including killings, abductions, and violence against civilians. They called for a boycott of travel to Pakistan, urged avoidance of International Airlines Group (PIA), and appealed to the diaspora to stop remittances to Pakistan. The protest is part of a wider campaign by the Kashmiri diaspora in the UK to draw international attention to the situation in PoJK. Earlier in July, a larger protest occurred outside the Pakistan High Commission in London following the arrest of JAAC leader Shaukat Nawaz Mir and hundreds of activists. JAAC has been declared a banned outfit by Pakistani authorities, and protests have continued in PoJK demanding the release of detained leaders and an end to heavy-handed measures.
