India — Andhra Pradesh reported 12 COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths between June 26 and July 16, 2026. The Omicron RF.5 variant was confirmed in four samples from India — Kadapa district by the India — National Institute of Virology, Pune. All deceased had severe comorbidities. Cases were scattered across India — Kadapa, India — Guntur, India — Visakhapatnam, and India — Kakinada, with no cluster outbreak. Health officials urged caution but no panic.
