FIS joins Project Glasswing for AI security

FIS, a global financial technology provider, has joined Glasswing Ventures, an initiative by Anthropic that uses frontier AI models to identify and address security vulnerabilities in critical software infrastructure. Through the initiative, FIS is testing Claude Mythos, Anthropic's most advanced AI model, as an additional layer within its cybersecurity program. The model scans and evaluates FIS's systems for weaknesses that could affect financial institutions and businesses relying on its technology. Glasswing Ventures is a controlled-access program for organizations that develop or maintain foundational software, allowing them to use Anthropic's frontier AI for defensive security work. FIS operates systems that clear payments, move money, and run core banking for thousands of institutions worldwide. The company's participation is separate from its commercial deployment of Anthropic AI agents but reflects a disciplined approach to applying advanced AI in financial systems. FIS also engages with FS-ISAC and the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council for broader cybersecurity intelligence-sharing.
