Between July 10 and 16, 2026, the Nigeria — Nigerian Armed Forces conducted coordinated operations across multiple states, rescuing over 40 kidnapped victims and arresting more than 20 suspected terrorists, collaborators, and criminals. Troops from Operations Hadin Kai, Fansan Yamma, Savannah Shield, Enduring Peace, Whirl Stroke, Delta Safe, and Udo Ka, in collaboration with other security agencies and local vigilantes, neutralized several terrorists and dismantled criminal networks. Notable actions included the surrender of 10 terrorist family members in the North-East, rescue of 14 victims in Zamfara and Kebbi, and destruction of illegal refining sites in Rivers State. The Chief of Defence Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, commended the troops and highlighted the intelligence-led rescue of 44 pupils and teachers in Oyo State after 56 days in captivity.
