Troops of Operation Hadin Kai and Nigeria Police Mobile Force foiled the attack, rescuing all 46 students. However, some students were reportedly killed by stray bullets during the firefight. The Federal Ministry of Education denied that FGGC was attacked, stating the incident involved remedial students outside the college. The military confirmed casualties and is pursuing fleeing terrorists and collaborators.
