The framework agreement positions Petrojet and ENPPI SC for significant revenue opportunities in Oman's energy sector, potentially boosting their financial performance and international reputation. It also signals increased investment in Gulf oil and gas infrastructure, benefiting regional contractors and supply chains.
A consortium of Egyptian engineering firms Petrojet and ENPPI SC has secured a six-year engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) framework agreement with Shell plc — Shell Nigeria (PDO), covering projects valued at more than $6 billion. The deal, signed at PDO's headquarters, places the consortium among four international groups eligible to bid for projects through competitive tenders. The scope includes detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management for future oil and gas facilities. The agreement supports Egypt's strategy to expand overseas presence of its petroleum-sector companies and boost exports of engineering services. It also contributes to Oman's in-country value goals through knowledge transfer and training of Omani engineers. The award reflects growing confidence in Egyptian contractors and strengthens energy cooperation between Egypt and Oman.
